On September 30, 2026, as a result of a nighttime attack by the Russian Federation on Kyiv, two people died, including a child. Four others were injured. The attack led to significant destruction in four districts of the capital.
Impact of the Attack in Kyiv Districts
Fires and destruction were recorded in the following areas:
- Sviyatoshynskyi District: about 10 private houses were damaged.
- Podilskyi District: a hit in a non-residential building, fire on the 6th floor, damage to a warehouse and a private two-story house.
- Holosiivskyi District: a bathhouse, utility building, and concrete mixer were on fire.
- Solomianskyi District: a grass cover caught fire in an open area.
Situation in Kyiv Region
Additionally, the attack affected the Kyiv region:
- Vyshhorod: a child died under the rubble of a collapsed house, while three people were rescued.
- Buchanskyi District: 3 private houses, 11 vehicles, and 2 warehouses were damaged.
- Obukhivskyi District: the consequences of the attack were recorded at infrastructure facilities.
Response from Authorities and Rescue Services
The Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMVA) confirmed the information about the dead and injured, as well as the extensive destruction. The State Emergency Service (SES) is actively working at the scenes, extinguishing fires and rescuing people.
