On the night of September 28, 2026, Ukraine faced a massive attack from Russian forces, resulting in the downing of 112 enemy drones of various types. The assault began at 18:00 on September 27 and continued into the morning.
Details of the Attack
According to reports, the enemy utilized 165 strike drones, including 79 reactive drones of the Shahed type, as well as imitation drones known as “Parody.” The attack was launched from several directions, including:
- Orel
- Millerovo
- Primorsko-Akhtarsk
- Shatalovo
- Temporarily Occupied Territories of Donetsk region
- Temporarily Occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea – Hvardiyske
Response of Ukrainian Forces
The aerial assault was countered by the Ukrainian air defense forces, including aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups. As of 07:00 on September 28, 112 enemy drones had been shot down, with hits recorded at 14 locations and debris falling at 7 locations.
