On September 26, 2026, Kyiv once again became a target for enemy attacks, resulting in damage to residential buildings and civil infrastructure. According to reports from the scene, the most affected area was the Solomianskyi district, where numerous fires broke out due to shelling.
Fires in the Solomianskyi District
In the Solomianskyi district, a fire was reported in a 5-story residential building, where flames engulfed apartments on the 1st to 3rd floors, as well as a grocery store on the ground floor. As a result of this incident, 4 people were injured, but thanks to the prompt actions of rescuers, another 20 individuals were saved. The fire was extinguished over an area of 400 square meters.
Additionally, in the same district, a non-residential building caught fire due to shelling, which was also extinguished. This indicates that the enemy continues to terrorize the capital without stopping.
Other Districts Under Fire
The shelling also affected other areas of Kyiv. In particular, in the Obolonskyi district, rescuers extinguished a fire in a preschool institution, fortunately with no casualties. In the Sviatoshynskyi district, firefighters also extinguished a fire on the roof of a store, eliminating the consequences of the destruction.
