Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the board game market has undergone significant changes. Producers and distributors have faced new challenges, including losses due to Russian shelling.
One of the main trends has been the growing demand for Ukrainian localization of games. This is connected to players' desire to support domestic producers and have the ability to play in the Ukrainian language.
We spoke with industry representatives who shared their observations regarding changes in the demand for board games. They noted that in wartime conditions, compact games that are easy to take to shelters or play during blackouts have become particularly relevant.
Among the recommended games are those that do not take up much space and have simple rules. This allows players to quickly start a game and enjoy it even in challenging circumstances.
