As of October 27, 2026, changes have occurred in the operations of the Kyiv metro. Train services on the "red" and "green" lines are limited, and surface public transport is adapting to the new conditions.
Current Status of the Metro
Currently, train services in the Kyiv metro operate on the following routes:
- Red Line: services between the stations "Akademmistechko" and "Lisova". All stations, including "Chernihivska" and "Lisova", are open to passengers.
- Green Line: services between the stations "Syrets" and "Vydubychi". However, services between the stations "Osokorky" and "Chervonyi Khutir" are temporarily suspended.
In the event of an air raid alert, all underground metro stations function as shelters. All necessary specialists are present on-site to ensure passenger safety.
Changes in Surface Public Transport
Due to the increased load on the "red" line of the metro, the operation of surface public transport in Kyiv is being enhanced:
- On the temporary bus route No. 1-M, 15 units of rolling stock will be in operation.
- Buses No. 22 and No. 91 are changing their routes due to the closure of the Southern Bridge:
- On route No. 22, the number of buses will be increased by 4 units — a total of 14 buses will be in operation.
- On route No. 91, 4 additional buses will also be added — a total of 7 units of rolling stock will be in operation.
Additionally, 5 buses will operate on the short segment from Trosyanecka Street to "Lybidska" metro station. Authorities ask passengers to be understanding of the situation, plan their routes in advance, and monitor operational changes in public transport on official information resources.
