Construction work on new bridges over the Dnipro River has begun in Kyiv. According to the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, the first bridges are expected to be operational in early 2027.

Ukraine plans to build 21 alternative bridge crossings to ease transportation and reduce the load on existing bridges. Minister for Restoration Mykola Kalashnik confirmed that work in Kyiv is already underway.
