Michael Zigler, the mayor of the Danish municipality of Høje-Taastrup, delivered a Citroën Jumpy to Ukraine for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during his vacation. This marked his first experience participating in a volunteer initiative aimed at providing transportation to Ukrainian military forces.
Impressions from the Trip
During his trip, Zigler visited Kyiv and Bucha, where he witnessed the consequences of the war firsthand. He noted that the impressions from what he saw were extremely strong. Specifically, the mayor descended into shelters several times due to air raid alerts, highlighting the realities of life in Ukraine during the war.
Volunteer Initiative
The car delivery took place at a designated location organized by the initiative, the address of which has not been disclosed. This initiative aims to support Ukrainian military personnel who require transportation for their operations.
