According to the publication, the debts of a private company that rented the Chernihiv CHP may be transferred to the local budget. This concerns a gas debt of almost UAH 1.5 billion that was accumulated by the company 'Tekhnova' before the full-scale war began.
Transfer of CHP to the city
In 2023, 'Tekhnova' transferred the CHP to the city after many years of rental. The enterprise suffered damage as a result of Russian attacks, and along with the CHP, the debts of the company for gas were also transferred to the city. Currently, the municipal enterprise 'Teplokomunenergo' is trying to challenge the imposition of this debt on its enterprise in court.
Legal proceedings
On October 2, the Supreme Court will consider this matter. It is important to note that similar situations arise in other cities where municipal enterprises receive CHPs after the expiration of rental agreements with private companies. For example, a similar problem is also observed in Sumy.
