On October 28, 2026, Kharkiv experienced an attack from a Russian drone, resulting in five people being injured, including a 4-year-old child. The strike targeted the Osnovyansky district of the city, leading to a massive fire.
Significant Consequences of the Attack
The drone strike caused a large fire that engulfed an area of approximately 2500 square meters. The fire destroyed:
- apartment and private residential buildings;
- outbuildings;
- a production facility;
- damage was also inflicted on high-rise buildings, garages, and vehicles.
Firefighters responded promptly to the call and extinguished the flames, but there remained a threat of repeated strikes.
Assistance to the Injured
Psychologists from the State Emergency Service (SES) provided assistance to those affected by the attack. It is particularly concerning that among the injured is a child, raising significant alarm among the public and medical personnel.
