On September 20, 2026, a massive drone attack took place in Moscow and the Moscow region, affecting one of Russia's largest oil refineries — 'Gazpromneft-MNPZ', located in Kapotnya.
Consequences of the Attack on the Oil Refinery
The 'Gazpromneft-MNPZ' refinery supplies about 40% of Moscow's fuel market and up to 70% of the region's needs for gasoline and aviation fuel. As a result of the attack, fires broke out, which were confirmed by Moscow's mayor Sobyanin, who noted that an object on the refinery's territory was damaged.

The governor of the Moscow region Vorobyov reported 249 downed and suppressed drones, while the mayor of Moscow mentioned 152 drones. It is known that the consequences of the attack were recorded in many municipalities, where the following were affected:
- private and multi-storey houses;

The Ramensky District was particularly hard hit, where a warehouse complex of the company 'Modern Warehouse Technologies' caught fire. There are also reports of a probable hit on CHPP-22 in Lyubertsy.
