On October 1, 2026, from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Ukraine experienced a massive attack from the enemy, which launched 97 attack drones. According to the data from the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian air defense forces managed to destroy or suppress 78 of these drones, of which 55 were reactive.
Details of the Attack
The attack lasted throughout the day, and there were about 10 attack UAVs remaining in the air as of 6:00 PM. The enemy used various types of drones, including:
- 97 attack UAVs in total;
- 66 reactive drones;
- other types of unmanned aerial vehicles.
Response of Air Defense
The air defense forces demonstrated high efficiency by destroying a significant portion of the attacking drones. Specifically, out of the 97 launched UAVs:
- 78 were destroyed or suppressed;
- 55 of them were reactive drones.
