On October 15, 2026, an incident involving a drone occurred in Kyiv's Pechersk district, where the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) crashed on an open area near a five-story residential building. Kyiv's mayor Vitaliy Klitschko confirmed that the crash resulted in damage to the facade, part of the roof, and window glazing of the building.
Consequences of the Drone Crash
The incident caused significant damage not only to the main building but also to neighboring structures. Specifically, the following were affected:
- the facade of the five-story residential building;
- part of the roof;
- window glazing;
- the facades of two adjacent three-story residential buildings.
Additionally, a vehicle in the courtyard caught fire as a result of the drone crash.
