On Thursday, October 15, 2026, restrictions on electricity consumption are being introduced in Ukraine. This decision was made by Ukrenergo due to the need to regulate the load on the electricity grid.
Consumption Restriction Schedules
According to the information provided by Ukrenergo, the restrictions will be in effect from 06:00 to 23:59. They will include:
- Power limitation schedules for industry and business;
- Hourly disconnection schedules for all categories of consumers.
The volume of disconnections will range from 0.5 to 1.5 queues, meaning that consumers can expect periodic power outages throughout the day.
Reasons for the Restrictions
The electricity consumption restrictions are being implemented due to a lack of resources to ensure the stable operation of the electricity grid. This may be related to various factors such as:
- Decreased electricity production;
- Increased demand for electricity;
- Technical issues in the energy system.
Ukrenergo urges consumers to understand these measures and plan their electricity consumption in advance.
