Today, November 6, 2026, emergency power outages have been implemented in Kyiv and several neighboring regions. This decision was made to prevent a drop in voltage in the energy system, as reported by Ukrenergo.

Volumes and Schedules of Outages

The emergency outages are being carried out in a volume of 5 shifts. The situation with electricity supply remains complicated, especially in Kyiv, where the schedules for outages may change frequently throughout the day. In some regions of Ukraine, there are also power limitation schedules for industry, as well as hourly outages for other categories of consumers, ranging from 2.5 to 4 shifts.

Reasons for Implementing Outages

The main reason for implementing emergency outages is the need to maintain the stability of the energy system. Ukrenergo emphasized that without these measures, there is a risk of voltage drop, which could lead to even more serious consequences for the energy infrastructure.
