On October 27, 2026, an enemy attack in Kyiv caused damage to the Southern Bridge and part of the metro infrastructure. As of this morning, train operations on the red line of the metro have resumed, while restrictions continue on the green line.
Metro Stations and Their Operations
On the red line of the metro, connecting the stations "Akademmistechko" and "Lisova," all stations are open to passengers. Metro specialists worked throughout the night to ensure uninterrupted train movement. However, damage has been reported between the stations "Darnytsia" and "Chernihivska" and at the exits from the "Lisova" station as a result of the attack.
Issues on the Green Line of the Metro
Train operations on the green line of the metro between the stations "Osokorky" and "Chervonyi Khutir" have been temporarily suspended due to damage to the metro infrastructure at the Southern Bridge. Currently, movement between the stations "Syrets" and "Vydubychi" continues without restrictions.
Transport Recovery and Passenger Support
Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported that traffic on the Southern Bridge is currently closed, and specialists are assessing the extent of the damage. In response, the city has increased the number of buses to strengthen ground transport routes operating between the left and right banks of the Dnipro River.
