On November 1, 2026, in the Vinnytsia region, as a result of an enemy attack on the Koziatyn community, two people died and three children were injured. This tragedy occurred due to shelling that took place between a dormitory and an educational institution.
Details of the Attack
According to the regional military administration, a man died on the spot, while a woman who sustained serious injuries passed away in the intensive care unit. Three children are currently in the hospital:
- two five-year-old boys;
- one 16-year-old teenager.
Impact on Local Infrastructure
The attack on Koziatyn is not the only incident today. In particular, an energy facility in the Ternopil region was targeted, resulting in 12 settlements being left without electricity. Additionally, in Chernivtsi, a drone struck an administrative building, injuring a man.
Government Response
Local authorities and representatives of the regional military administration expressed their condolences to the families of the deceased and injured. They urge the population to remain cautious and adhere to safety measures amidst ongoing attacks from the enemy.
