On October 30, 2026, the evacuation of civilians and the distribution of humanitarian aid began in Oleshky. The Ukrainian delegation safely arrived in the city, where a ceasefire is currently in effect, initiated on October 27.
Ceasefire and Its Purpose
The ceasefire in Oleshky started on October 27 at 3:00 AM Kyiv time and will last until the evening of November 1. This measure aims to:
- clear the roads of mines;
- deliver food, water, and medicine to residents;
- evacuate civilians.
As of the end of September, approximately two thousand people remained in Oleshky, including 50 children, suffering from a lack of water, food, and medicine due to the blockade.
Humanitarian Aid and Evacuation
According to MP Davyd Arakhamia, during the humanitarian operation, the Ukrainian delegation began distributing humanitarian aid, including food and medical supplies. Importantly, the evacuation is taking place under safe conditions, allowing civilians to leave the city.
Satellite Images and Road Conditions
Satellite images released by international agencies show the condition of the roads leading to and from Oleshky. This is crucial for ensuring safety during the evacuation and the delivery of humanitarian supplies.
