In Ukraine, the sale of wild mushrooms is regulated by legislation that imposes significant fines on those who engage in this activity without proper registration. According to information from the Judicial and Legal Newspaper, selling mushrooms is only permitted at official agricultural markets after undergoing laboratory testing and obtaining an expert opinion.
Systematic selling of mushrooms for profit requires business registration. In case of violations, fines can range from 17,000 to 34,000 UAH, and there is also the possibility of confiscating the mushrooms and the proceeds from sales.
Additionally, selling mushrooms on the street or in other unapproved locations is prohibited.
