On September 28, 2026, the GUR special unit "Ghosts" conducted a large-scale operation that resulted in the targeting of several strategic objects of the Russian military infrastructure. Among the targets hit were a railway bridge, an aircraft, and three speedboats.
Targets Struck
The "Ghosts" operation focused on striking critical elements of the enemy's logistics and communication. As a result of the attacks, the following were destroyed:
- a railway bridge over the North Crimean Canal;
- an L-39 "Albatros" aircraft;
- the boats BK-10, BK-16, and "Mangust";
- 9 communication towers;
- radar stations RLS "Nebo-U", "Kasta-2E", and P-18 "Terek";
- electronic warfare systems (REBs) and MESH repeaters.
Impact on Russian Military Capabilities
According to GUR information, such strikes significantly weaken the reconnaissance, communication, and logistics of Russian troops. This complicates their ability to conduct military operations, especially at sea, where speedboats play a crucial role in patrolling and ensuring security.
Additional Strikes on Russian Facilities
In addition to the aforementioned targets, Ukrainian forces also struck the Pantsir-S2 missile and artillery system in the Bryansk region. The governor of the region confirmed that a railway bridge collapsed as a result of the attack. Furthermore, command points and ammunition depots in the occupied territories of Zaporizhia and Donetsk regions were targeted, including:
- a repair unit in Mariupol;
- ammunition depots in Makiivka and Ustinivka;
- a depot in Nikolske.
