On October 25, 2026, it was announced that the Ukrainian government has allocated 187.6 million UAH for the restoration of 33 apartment buildings damaged by Russian attacks. This funding will enable over 4,000 residents to return to their homes.
Regions Under Restoration
The restoration works will be carried out in three regions of Ukraine:
- Kryvyi Rih — restoration of 3 apartment buildings,
- Sumy — restoration of 20 buildings,
- Kyiv region — restoration of 10 buildings.
Funding for Restoration
The funding for the restoration works will come from the Fund for Liquidation of Consequences of Armed Aggression, which directs funds to local budgets. This will not only restore the destroyed buildings but also improve living conditions for people affected by the war.
