According to Opendatabot, in the first nine months of 2026, Ukraine registered 66,000 more individual entrepreneurs than it closed. Since the beginning of the year, 222,300 new entrepreneurs have been opened, while 155,600 entrepreneurs were closed, which is 27% less than in the previous year.
Popular Sectors of Entrepreneurship
Among the new entrepreneurs, the largest number was registered in the following sectors:
- Retail trade — 60,300 new entrepreneurs;
- Programming — 16,700;
- Wholesale trade — 16,600.
Regional Characteristics
The highest number of new entrepreneurs appeared in:
- Kyiv — 27,300;
- Dnipropetrovsk region — 22,300;
- Lviv region — 17,200.
These figures indicate an active development of entrepreneurship in Ukraine, which may positively affect the economic situation in the country.
