Today, October 20, 2026, Ukraine celebrates Intelligence Day of the State Border Guard Service. This holiday is dedicated to the important role of intelligence officers in ensuring the security of the state and protecting its borders.
The Importance of Intelligence Work
Border intelligence officers perform extremely important work that often remains invisible to society. Thanks to their activities, it is possible to:
- detect enemy plans in advance;
- protect the positions of Ukrainian military;
- ensure the success of combat operations.
Cool-headedness, sharp intellect, courage, and iron discipline are the qualities that help intelligence officers accomplish the most challenging tasks in complex combat conditions.
Honoring Heroes
Today, we also honor the memory of those border intelligence officers who gave their lives for Ukraine. Their courage and sacrifice remain in the memory of the people, and their struggle continues in the daily work of each of us.
