Kanye West's concerts in St. Petersburg, scheduled for October 10 and 11, have been removed from his tour schedule amid chaos surrounding his potential arrival in Russia, reports "Kommersant".
The concert organizer, Say Agency, claims that the dates may return after resolving outstanding issues. However, as of now, the stadium rental agreement has not been signed, and no application for event approval has been submitted to the St. Petersburg Culture Committee.
According to media reports, West's fee was set to exceed 1.5 billion rubles (approximately $17.9 million). It is known that the concerts were canceled following a "call from Moscow." Some sources indicate that the Kremlin was unaware of the rapper's controversial statements, and once they became public, they became alarmed.
The organizers had previously stated that they sold over 100,000 tickets, with the most expensive costing 160,000 rubles (about 78,800 UAH). Three weeks before the scheduled concert dates, ticket buyers began demanding refunds, including through the courts.
