Dismissal of the Attorney General
At the beginning of the week, on September 15, President of Ukraine dismissed Ruslan Kravchenko from the position of Attorney General. This occurred after Kravchenko signed a suspicion against the head of NABU, Serhiy Kryvonos, and left the country. The Office of the Attorney General described the suspicion as false, and Kravchenko was suspended from his position. Anton Koval'sky was appointed as the acting Attorney General.
'Vivaldi' Offensive Operation in Donetsk
On Tuesday, the 3rd Army Corps announced the start of the 4th phase of the 'Vivaldi' offensive operation in northern Donetsk. Currently, the Defense Forces of Ukraine have regained control of 125 km² of territory. This operation is a crucial step in the fight for the liberation of Ukrainian territories.
Massive Attack on Moscow
The week ended on a more positive note for Ukraine — on Sunday night, Ukrainian forces attacked Moscow and the surrounding area. The target was an oil refinery in Kapotnya, and local authorities described this attack as the most massive. According to Polish Foreign Minister Radek Sikorski, Ukraine has already destroyed 30-40% of Russia's oil refining capacities, indicating the effectiveness of Ukrainian actions.
