The apartment of Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klychko cannot be disconnected from electricity supply separately. This was revealed in a response from the company DTEK to a request from journalists of the "Sledstvo.Info" project. The reason is that the building where Klychko's apartment is located, along with ten other residential buildings, is connected to the line of a critical infrastructure facility at Khmelnytskoho Street, 30/10.
Why the apartment cannot be disconnected
Electricity disconnection in Ukraine occurs according to schedules; however, in this case, the schedules do not apply to buildings connected to critical infrastructure. This means that residents of these buildings, including Klychko's apartment, are guaranteed continuous electricity supply.
History of the apartment purchase
Vitaliy Klychko purchased his apartment in 2013, as he mentioned in an interview. This purchase took place after his victorious fight in 1999, when he won the championship title under the WBO version. Since then, the apartment has become not only a residence but also a symbol of his success in sports and politics.
