Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill Halts Operations After Third Russian Attack

On October 7, 2026, the Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill halted its operations following yet another attack from Russia. This marks the third strike on the facility in the last six months, resulting in significant consequences for production.

Consequences of the Attack

The missile strike today caused considerable damage to the production and storage facilities of the mill. Specifically, the following were affected:

  • production capacities;
  • equipment;
  • engineering communications;
  • storage rooms.

As a result of the powerful explosions, fires broke out; fortunately, no employees were harmed.

History of Attacks

The mill, located in Obukhiv, had previously been attacked on March 14 and April 3, 2026. After the first attack, the facility suffered significant damage, leading to a threefold decrease in production volumes. The mill also temporarily ceased operations after the second strike.

Production Capabilities

The Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill is the largest producer of cardboard and paper products in Ukraine. Among the main products manufactured at the facility are:

  • toilet paper under the brands “Obukhiv 65,” “Obukhivska,” “Dyvo,” “Dyvo Premio,” “Dyvo Business;”
  • paper towels;
  • napkins;
  • base paper.

It is worth noting that Russia claims that the mill's territory allegedly housed the production and storage of FP-5 “Flamingo” cruise missiles. However, these statements have not been corroborated by any independent sources.
