On October 12, 2026, the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA) warned about the potential transition of schools to online learning due to water supply issues. In-person classes will only be conducted if sanitary norms are adhered to.
Conditions for In-Person Learning
According to KCSA, schools will be able to continue in-person learning only if the necessary conditions are met. If educational institutions cannot ensure sanitary requirements, students will be switched to online learning. This decision will be made individually by each educational institution.
Use of Alternative Energy Sources
In case of power outages, schools intend to use generators, inverters, and charging stations to support the learning process. In conditions of low lighting in classrooms, oral lessons are planned to ensure that students can continue their education even with limited lighting.
Emergency Situations and Their Impact on Learning
In addition to water supply issues, schools may also switch to online learning in cases of building damage or other emergencies. This decision will depend on the specific circumstances that arise in each educational institution.
