Since the evening of October 14, 2026, the Kirovohrad region has been subjected to a massive attack by Russian invaders that lasted over 10 hours. As a result of drone strikes, three people were killed and six were injured, according to the State Emergency Service (SES).
Scope of the Attack and Consequences
According to the SES, strikes were recorded at 25 locations in the regional center of Kropyvnytskyi and surrounding areas, including:
- critical infrastructure facilities;
- transport enterprises;
- logistics centers;
- residential buildings;
- warehousing facilities;
- courtyards and adjacent areas.
As a result of these strikes, numerous fires broke out, requiring prompt response from rescue services.
Geography of the Strikes
The regional center suffered the most damage, but other populated areas were also targeted, including:
- Znamenka;
- Oleksandriia;
- Pomichna;
- other medium and small communities in the region.
This attack marks the most massive assault since the beginning of the full-scale war, indicating an escalation of aggression from Russia.
