Today, November 2, 2026, in Kyiv, train services on the red and green metro lines were partially halted due to significant fluctuations in electrical voltage. This information was reported by the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA).
Causes of Metro Service Disruptions
The power supply disruptions were caused by strong voltage fluctuations coming from external sources. This led to the temporary suspension of train services on the ground sections of the red and green metro lines. Additionally, electric transport services were suspended on:
- Borshchahivka rapid tram line;
- Otradny Avenue.
Restoration of Train Services
According to KCSA, train services on the red metro line have been restored to normal operation. Trains are running between the stations "Akademmistetchko" and "Lisova." Meanwhile, on the green line, services between "Osokorky" and "Chervonyi Khutor" remained suspended until 09:00.
However, at 09:00, it was announced that train services on the green line were also restored, and the metro is now operating normally.
