National Guard Rescues Cats from Occupied Oleshky

On October 6, 2026, servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine's 11th Brigade conducted an operation codenamed "Tigers," during which they rescued six cats that had been left without owners in the occupied Oleshky in the Kherson region.

The Evacuation Process

Thanks to the efforts of local residents, the cats were evacuated from a dangerous area. The animals were placed in a specially designed cage for this operation, ensuring their safe transportation.

Transport Across the Dnipro

The National Guard servicemen transported the cats by air across the Dnipro River under the wing of one of the heavy bombers. They covered a distance of over ten kilometers, demonstrating a high level of training and professionalism.

The Condition of the Cats and Their Future

All six cats that were evacuated remained alive and unharmed. Soon, they will find new homes, marking a new beginning for them after the challenging circumstances.
