On October 17, 2026, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced new features of the "Air Alarm" app, which now allows users to track the movement of enemy targets such as Shaheds, cruise missiles, and drones.
Functionality of the App
According to the information provided by the Ministry of Defense, the new functionality allows for the transmission of approximate movement of enemy targets, but without precise coordinates. This means that users can receive general information about the direction of enemy objects but cannot rely on detailed data about their exact locations.
Important Warnings
It is important to note that the absence of markers on the map does not indicate the absence of danger. Users are advised to remain in shelters until an official all-clear is issued. It should also be taken into account that the information in the app may be displayed with a delay, which could affect the timeliness of responses to threats.
Tracking Limitations
Additionally, the movement of enemy targets with speeds exceeding 2000 km/h is not displayed in the app. This specifically applies to ballistic missiles, which may limit users' capabilities in tracking such threats.
