New Law on Communication During Alerts: "Trident" System

Starting Wednesday, October 21, 2026, communication in Ukraine may be disabled during alerts. This decision has been made by the government to reduce the number of casualties during attacks. To ensure the safety of citizens and their access to information, a new system called "Trident" has been developed.

How the "Trident" System Works

The "Trident" system is designed to keep people informed during alerts. It operates without a connection, allowing important notifications to be received even if mobile communication is disrupted. The main features of the system include:

  • information on the location of the alert;
  • the number of rockets or Shaheds in the sky;
  • indication of when it is safe to leave shelters.

Connecting to the "Trident" System

To utilize the new system, users must connect to "Trident" by October 21, 2026. This can be done through mobile operators:

  • 🟡 Lifecell
  • 🔵 Kyivstar
  • 🛑 Vodafone
  • 👧 Other operator

After October 21, if users do not connect to the system, they will remain without notifications during alerts.
