On November 1, 2026, as a result of night attacks by Russian forces, Ukraine's energy infrastructure suffered significant damage in four regions: Dnipropetrovsk, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, and Khmelnytskyi. Hundreds of thousands of families are left without electricity, and repair crews are working to restore damaged facilities.
Massive Attacks on Critical Infrastructure
Throughout this week, Russia continues to launch massive strikes on Ukraine, including:
- 1940 strike drones;
- over 1580 guided aerial bombs (GAB);
- 44 missiles of various types, of which 36 are ballistic.
President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the high intensity of these attacks, noting that Russian forces are trying to make the most of the shortage of ballistic interceptors.
Call to International Partners
Zelensky stressed that Ukraine communicates daily about the need for additional missiles for the Patriot system with the USA and European partners. He noted that new decisions regarding the supply of defense packages to Ukraine were recently made, but these supplies cannot wait for years.
The president called for urgent strengthening of the air defense system (ADS), as Russia continues to destroy infrastructure and threaten the lives of Ukrainians.
