The Odesa Primorsky Court has sentenced a territorial center for recruitment (TCC) employee to 7 years in prison for torture and abduction. According to the court's ruling, the accused detained and beat people without the presence of police officers and threatened them with sexual violence.
This case is a result of the work of the Temporary Investigative Commission (TIC), which actively shares all gathered information with law enforcement and continues investigations across all regions of Ukraine. Several cases of violence against citizens have been examined in Odesa, and now these crimes are leading to real sentences for the perpetrators.
TIC representatives assure that the fight against violence will continue, and such sentences will serve as a warning to other potential offenders.
