Former President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, discussed options for countering drones, particularly the Shahed and Bandera models, during a meeting with Defense Minister Yevhen Hmara.
Poroshenko noted that during negotiations in Poland at the MSPO 2026 exhibition, an agreement was reached with the Brazilian manufacturer Embraer for the supply of a complex of 24 Super Tucano aircraft. These aircraft are equipped with high speed, missile and artillery armament, and an armored cockpit, enabling them to effectively counter aerial threats.
It is planned that a Ukrainian delegation will travel to one of the NATO countries that already has contracts with Brazil to discuss the details of the supply.
