On September 22, 2026, it became known that evacuation of civilians has begun in the Chernihiv region due to the threat of intensified combat operations. Reserve Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Roman Svitana reported that Russia plans to establish a northern front, and this is only a matter of time.
Evacuation of Civilians
In connection with preparations for possible combat operations, the authorities of the Chernihiv region are taking measures to ensure the safety of the civilian population. The evacuation covers:
- the population living in a 30-kilometer zone along the Chernihiv direction;
- individuals who may be at risk due to the intensification of combat operations;
