On October 12, 2026, at the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky's headquarters, the results of the resilience plans implementation for cities and regions were discussed. As of mid-October, it was revealed that across the country, even in border and frontline areas, the implementation of these plans exceeds the capital's indicators. Kyiv, according to the president, feels the consequences, as even after single strikes by 'Shaheds', there are massive outages of electricity and water.
Consultations on Security and Management
Zelensky noted that today he began consultations on urgent security and management steps to improve the situation in Kyiv. He discussed these issues with representatives of the security sector, business, and self-government, including figures such as Vasyl Maliuk, Ivan Fedorov, Igor Terekhov, Kostyantyn Yefymenko, and Maxym Yefimov.
Challenges and Proposals
The president emphasized the need for readiness to work as quickly as possible, respond to every security challenge, and ensure the implementation of defined decisions. He expressed gratitude to communities and business leaders for their willingness to support the capital. The main areas of focus include:
- Protection of energy facilities
- Ensuring critical infrastructure in Kyiv
- Collaboration with the government and military
- Understanding people's needs and changing management algorithms
Zelensky also mentioned that additional consultations and scheduled meetings will be held to develop effective solutions.
