Public Transport Restrictions in Kyiv Due to Enemy Attacks

On October 2, 2026, public transport movement in Kyiv was temporarily restricted due to night enemy attacks. According to information from the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA), several key bridges in the city have been closed to traffic.

Bridge Restrictions

According to the latest data, traffic on the following bridges has been closed:

  • Southern Bridge — closed in both directions.
  • Paton Bridge — also closed in both directions.
  • Metro Bridge — closed in the direction of the right bank.

In connection with these restrictions, public transport routes have been reorganized. Buses that usually travel over the closed bridges have been redirected through the Darniytsky and Podilsky bridges.

Changes in Public Transport Routes

The KCSA reported the following changes in routes:

  • Buses № 22 and 91 now travel via the Darniytsky Bridge.
  • Buses № 51, 55, 115, and 118-D have also been redirected via the Darniytsky Bridge.
  • Trolleybuses:
    • Route № 43: Cybernetics Center – Lybidska Square.
    • Route № 50: Myroslavska Street – Darnytska Square.
  • Bus № 1-M operates via the Podilsky Bridge.

Impact on Residents

These restrictions have significantly affected the movement of Kyiv residents. The KCSA urges passengers to consider these changes when planning their routes. Additionally, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko, during the attacks, a hit was recorded on the upper floors of a residential high-rise building in the Darnytsky district, leading to a fire.
