Today, October 30, 2026, vehicle traffic is being restored on the Southern Bridge in Kyiv from the left bank to the right bank. This decision was made following a technical inspection of the bridge and an expert assessment by the National Institute for Infrastructure Development.
Traffic Restrictions
Initially, traffic will be allowed in one lane for vehicles weighing up to 10 tons, including passenger cars. The traffic from the right bank to the left bank remains closed as technical works are ongoing in that direction.
Technical Works and Future Plans
Specialists from municipal enterprises, together with scientists, are working on technical solutions for repairing the damaged structures of the Southern Bridge. This also includes elements that ensure the operation of the metro system. The Kyiv authorities request drivers to consider the temporary restrictions when planning their routes.
