In the Khabarovsk region and on Sakhalin, damage to two main communication lines has been reported, leading to partial internet outages in the Sakhalin and Magadan regions, as well as in the Kamchatka region and the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug of Russia.
According to the company Rostelecom, the incidents occurred twice: in one case, the cable was cut in several places, while in another, unknown individuals cut down a support pole. The Ministry of Digital Development of Russia and the electoral commission described these events as a deliberate attempt to disrupt the voting process.
