On the night of September 27, 2026, Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine, deploying 170 drones. According to the Ukrainian Armed Forces Air Force, 147 UAVs were destroyed or suppressed.
Details of the Attack
Among the launched drones were 76 reactive "Shaheds", as well as "Gerbers" and imitation drones "Parody". The attack occurred in several regions of Ukraine, including:
- Zaporizhzhia: A man was killed and a woman was injured in Komyshuvakha.
- Novotavriyske: Two people were killed, and four were injured.
- Odesa region: Two people were injured, one of whom was hospitalized. Damage was reported to warehouses, residential buildings, and vehicles.
Response of Air Defense
According to reports, the attack was thwarted thanks to the coordinated efforts of various components of the defense forces, including aviation. As of 7:30 AM, the attack was still ongoing, with several enemy drones remaining in the airspace.
Impact on Infrastructure
In Kyiv, particularly in the Solomianskyi district, warehouses caught fire. The Odesa region was also targeted, where drones attacked port and civilian infrastructure in Kiliya, causing fires.
