On September 20, 2026, new casualties have been reported in Ukraine due to Russian attacks. In particular, a monk was killed in the Kherson region, and the death toll in the Kyiv region has risen to four, including three children.
Attack on Monastery in Kherson Region
On September 19, around 15:00, Russian military forces struck the Holy-Hryhorivsky Male Monastery located in the Berislav district with a drone. As a result of the attack, a 71-year-old monk was killed, and four other monastery servants sustained injuries of varying severity. The monastery premises were also damaged. A preliminary investigation into the war crime has already been initiated by the prosecutor's office.
Situation in Kyiv Region
In the Kyiv region, particularly in the Vyshhorod district, a child died due to Russian attacks, increasing the death toll to four people. Among the deceased are three children and a woman. The region has endured attacks for over a day, resulting in damage to:
- residential buildings;
- production and utility premises;
- the territory of an agricultural enterprise;
- vehicles.
Strikes on Moscow
It has been noted that Ukrainian forces have likely struck Moscow for the first time, using the latest ballistic missile of the "ground-to-ground" class FP-7, developed by Fire Point. This missile is reported to have a flight range of up to 200–350 km, with a speed reaching 1500 m/s. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that strikes were carried out on strategic targets, including the Moscow oil refinery, located just 15 km from the Kremlin.
