On September 18, Russian forces struck one of the neighborhoods in Balakliia. A fire broke out at the site of the attack.
By the morning of September 19, it was reported that four civilians had been killed as a result of the assault. Additionally, roofs and windows of private homes in the city were damaged.
In connection with this tragedy, a day of mourning has been declared in Balakliia.
