On October 31, 2026, Russian forces once again attacked energy facilities in Dnipropetrovsk, causing significant damage to the infrastructure. According to DTEK, as a result of the nighttime strikes, a significant part of Dnipro and Kamianske, as well as residents of the Dniprovskyi and Novomoskovskyi districts, remain without electricity.
Consequences of the Attacks
The repeated attacks seriously damaged two facilities of DTEK Dnipro Electric Networks. One of these facilities had been under repair for almost two days following a previous attack, only to suffer further damage. This has led to an extended blackout in the region, which has been ongoing since yesterday.
Current Electricity Supply Situation
Currently, electricity supply is absent in:
- a significant part of Dnipro
- Kamianske
- Dniprovskyi district
- Novomoskovskyi district
Energy workers across the region continue to work on restoring damaged facilities, although safety conditions complicate their efforts.
Response from Authorities and Energy Workers
Representatives of DTEK have confirmed that restoration work is ongoing, but the speed of these efforts depends on security circumstances. Authorities urge residents to exercise caution and follow the recommendations of energy workers during this challenging time.
