Saudi Aramco, the world's largest oil producer, has informed at least two European refiners that they will not receive Saudi oil in October. This decision affects all European buyers with contracts for regular supplies.
The halt in supplies is due to a drone attack on the East-West oil pipeline, which delivered oil to the port of Yanbu on the Red Sea. The full repair of the pipeline is expected to take up to six weeks.
Europe is already experiencing fuel supply issues, particularly in France.
