Details of the Arrest
The detained woman, unemployed and from the occupied city of Melitopol, planned to shoot the oppositionist with a pistol. She was apprehended while scouting near her target's workplace. Authorities seized:
- a pistol with ammunition;
- a phone intended for communication with a Russian handler.
According to the investigation, the woman was recruited for this task in exchange for the "closure" of a case regarding illegal drug possession.
Target of the Assassination
The target of the assassination was a Russian oppositionist who has been involved in combat operations in Ukraine since 2022, initially in the Kyiv region and later in the eastern front. He is also the leader of a public organization that actively supports the Ukrainian struggle.
Possible Consequences
