On November 6, 2026, it became known that the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) filed a request to place SBU General Duka under arrest with the possibility of bail set at 100 million UAH. Duka considers this amount to be an 'unconditional bail'.
During the court hearing, the general recounted his version of the events that occurred during a search conducted by detectives from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU). According to him, around 5:20 AM, the detectives attempted to climb over the fence of his house, triggering an alarm. A group from 'Alpha' arrived at the scene, initially unaware of who was trying to enter the premises.
Duka's Account of the Search
Duka claims he would have willingly let the NABU detectives in if they had contacted him via the intercom and informed him of a court order. He emphasized that he has no intention of evading responsibility and does not plan to flee abroad.
Conflict with NABU
It is worth noting that earlier, NABU reported that General Duka and 'Alpha' operatives confronted the detectives with weapons and attempted to destroy evidence. This conflict has raised significant public concern and highlighted questions regarding the legality of actions taken by both parties.
