On September 24, 2026, Serhiy Kobets was appointed as the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. Previously, he served as the Deputy Head of the National Police and led the Department of Personnel Support.
Responsibilities of the New Deputy
In his new role, Kobets will oversee several key areas:
- Personnel policy within the Ministry of Internal Affairs;
- Development of higher education in the ministry;
- Social and psychological support for staff;
- State veteran policy.
Experience of Serhiy Kobets
Serhiy Kobets has many years of experience working within the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Police of Ukraine. His appointment was confirmed by a government representative, who noted that Kobets is a professional leader.
