As of October 23, 2026, the speed limitations of Starlink in Ukraine remain in effect. According to presidential advisor Serhiy Beskrestnov, there has been no recorded lifting of these restrictions.
Reasons for Speed Limitations
The speed limitations for Starlink in Ukraine were implemented to optimize the use of network resources. Although in some cases terminals may demonstrate higher speeds, Beskrestnov stated that this is not a result of lifting the restrictions. The reasons for this may include:
- Algorithms used by SpaceX.
- Special usage conditions of the terminals.
Response from Ukrainian Military
The Ukrainian military has also confirmed that they do not observe any lifting of restrictions on Starlink at this time. This indicates that the situation remains stable, and no official changes have occurred. The presidential advisor emphasized that even if terminals operate faster, it does not mean that the restrictions have been lifted.
