The head of Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Sybiga, has called on countries around the world to close so-called 'Russian Houses,' which are used by Russia for disinformation and espionage. He noted that these organizations, including 'Rossotrudnichestvo' and cultural centers, are engaged in a global struggle for influence over public opinion.
Sybiga emphasized that despite the closure of such centers in some European countries, they continue to operate in at least seven European nations. Additionally, he pointed out that a large network of Russian cultural centers is active in Africa, Central and Eastern Asia, the Asia-Pacific region, and South America.
Ukraine has officially appealed to the governments of various countries to consider the threat posed by these structures to national security and to take measures to restrict their activities, up to and including complete closure.
